The Art in Public Places Committee (AIPP) is comprised of five members: the Mayor, who serves as the Chair, a Resident at Large and representatives from the Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission and the Community Services Commission. The Committee approves various public art projects and programs and serves as the advisory board on public art to the City Council on Projects costing more than $5,000. The Committee meets quarterly in the months of January, April, July and October on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:00pm in City Hall’s Iris Room.

Public comment will be accepted by email to
kzessau@ci.monrovia.ca.us before 2:00 p.m. on meeting dates. Public comment may be summarized in the interest of time, however the full text will be provided to all members of the Art in Public Places Committee prior to the meeting. If comments are specifically in support of or with concerns regarding an item, please clearly state so in the introduction.
