Deadline to Apply to Board or Commission

Are you looking for ways to be more involved in the Monrovia Community? If so, apply to serve on a City Board or Commission via our new online application!

Do you want the chance to provide input to help our City leaders govern even better? Then consider volunteering to serve in an advisory capacity on one of the City's various Commissions, Committees, or Boards!

The City is now accepting applications to fill positions on the Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Community Services Commission, and Monrovia Old Town Advisory Board (MOTAB). You will find a brief description of each advisory body here.

Members of the Boards, Committees, and Commissions are appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, and serve at the pleasure of the City Council for the length of their term. Members are volunteers who serve a three-year term (or a two-year term for MOTAB), beginning July 1. Those appointed may reapply at the end of each term, if they are interested in continuing to serve.

Click here to apply on our new and improved online application process!

Be sure to apply by the May 1, 2018 deadline, and contact the City Clerk's Office at (626) 932-5599 should you have any questions!
