NEIGHBORHOOD & BUSINESS SERVICES DIVISION
Welcome to the Neighborhood and Business Services Division! We are a division within the Community Development Department. Our dedicated and well trained staff are responsible for the daily operations of Business Licensing, Code Enforcement, Housing, and the Monrovia Area Partnership (MAP) Program. Our mission is to enhance our community by partnering with residents and businesses alike. We are here to serve you!
Business Licensing
Business Licensing is responsible for issuing new business licenses and renewals. We are here to help new businesses, existing businesses, sidewalk vendors, food trucks, or a home occupations. Business Licensing can be reached at license@monroviaca.gov or at (626) 932-5582.
Code Enforcement
Code Enforcement is focused on engaging residents and business owners about property violations that need to be resolved. This includes property maintenance, zoning, building, and health & safety issues. Our goal is to promote a safe and vibrant community. Code Enforcement can be contacted at ce@monroviaca.gov or at (626) 932-5582.
Monrovia Area Partnership (MAP)
The Monrovia Area Partnership is an award winning community-based program that united residents and City Officials to take positive actions in order to improve the community. The program started in 2006 and has grown to include an Annual Conference, Adult Leadership Academy, Youth Leadership Academy, MAP-edu quarterly meetings, quarterly newsletter, block party, and the Care for Your Neighbor Program. MAP can be reached at map@monroviaca.gov and at (626) 932-5563.
Housing
While the low-income housing program is administered by the Baldwin Park Housing Authority, the Neighborhood Services Team does manage CDBG funds and programs for Monrovia residents. We do offer a residential rehabilitation home improvement grant for those who qualify. If you are inquiring about low-income housing programs, please contact the Baldwin Park Housing Authority at (626) 869-7500 ext. 552. For the CDBG grant program and the Care for Your Neighbor Program, please contact us at map@monroviaca.gov or at (626) 932-5586.
