Get Involved in the City

Monrovia Area Partnership (MAP)

MAP is a community-based program that hosts events and meetings, like the Leadership Academy, to train and connect community members.

Volunteer with the Library

There are many ways to volunteer with the Library, including as an English literacy tutor, digitizing archives, providing computer help, and working in the Friends Store!

Volunteer with the Fire Department

Monrovia Fire & Rescue trains many volunteers to help prepare for and respond to disasters in our community, including the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Business Emergency Response Team (BERT).

Volunteer with the Police Department

The Police Department welcome volunteers of all ages with our Citizen Patrol, Chaplains, Reserve Police Officers, and Monrovia Explorers.

Sign up at the Volunteer Center of the San Gabriel Valley to work in the community or deliver Meals on Wheels.

Boys and Girls Club of the Foothills

The Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills helps youth of all backgrounds develop the qualities they need to overcome obstacles, become responsible citizens, and emerge as leaders.

Foothill Unity Center

Foothill Unity Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides services for qualified low-income families and people in crisis. 

Monrovia Historical Museum

Share your love of local history by volunteering to guide tours, serving as a docent, assisting with cataloging the collection, and even helping develop new exhibits.

Santa Anita Family YMCA

Sign up to volunteer your time and talent at the YMCA to create an impact that really counts – coaching a youth sports team, mentoring a teen after school, providing support for a family that needs you.
