Historic Preservation Commission Meeting - Cancelled

The Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for administering Monrovia's Historic Preservation Ordinance and is comprised of seven Monrovia residents who are appointed by the City Council for a three-year term. Included in their purview is the approval of exterior changes to historic landmarks, design review for building facades in Old Town along Myrtle Avenue, and determinations of historic significance. The Commission also reviews all applications for historic landmark designation and Mills Act Contracts and makes a recommendation to the City Council on the request.

CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) ADVISORY 

As a precaution to protect staff, our constituents, and elected officials, in accordance with Executive Order N-29-20 and guidance from the California Department of Public Health on gatherings, there will NOT be a physical meeting location and all public participation will be electronic. Remote public participation is allowed from your computer, laptop, or phone through the Zoom platform. Additional details will be made available on the posted agenda, or participants may call (626) 932-5565 for additional information.

 

Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order N-29-20, Historic Preservation Commissioners may participate via teleconference.
