The Community Services Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to Community Services, cooperating with all government agencies and civic groups in the advancement of sound Community Services planning and programming. The Commission is comprised of seven Monrovia residents who are appointed by the City Council for a three-year term.
CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) ADVISORY
As a precaution to protect staff, our constituents, and appointed and elected officials, in accordance with Executive Order N-29-20 and guidance from the California Department of Public Health on gatherings, there will NOT be a physical meeting location and all public participation will be electronic. Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order N-29-20, City Commissioners may participate via teleconference. Remote participation is encouraged and the public is encouraged to participate in the following ways:
1- Email. Public comment will be accepted by email to tcherry@ci.monrovia.ca.us before 5:00 p.m. on June 8, 2021. Public comment may be summarized in the interest of time, however the full text will be provided to all members of the Commission prior to the meeting. If comments are specifically in support of or with concerns to an item, please clearly state so in the introduction.
2- Attend the meeting via Zoom. To watch the meeting and/or provide public comment from your computer, laptop, or smartphone, contact the staff at (626) 256-8226 or tcherry@ci.monrovia.ca.us prior to 5:00 p.m. on June 8, 2021. City staff will provide the necessary Zoom Meeting ID and password. Please note you will enter the meeting muted. To comment during the public comment portions of the agenda, click the Participants “raised hand” icon at the appropriate time indicated by the Chair during the meeting, and you will be selected from the meeting queue. Please limit comments to three minutes each.
