CALIFORNIA’S NEW CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION REGULATIONS – What Local Officials and Candidates Need to Know
Late last year, Governor Newsom signed Senate Bill 1439 (Glazer), which changes elements of the Political Reform Act governing campaign contributions, and establishes new abstention and disclosure requirements. As we approach the March 5, 2024, General Municipal Election, local officials and potential candidates may have questions about how this new law applies to them and what they can do to remain in compliance.
Join us on September 5, 2023, at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers for a presentation by City Attorney Craig Steele on SB 1439 and what it means for local officials and those considering running for office.
NOTE: This workshop is in-person only.
