As financial stewards of the City, the Administrative Services Department is committed to providing timely, accurate, clear and concise financial information to the City Council, City Manager, City Departments, and the Citizens of Monrovia. The Administrative Services Department is dedicated to managing the City's resources in a fiscally conservative manner, while maintaining an exemplary level of customer service.
The Department provides fiscal support to all City departments and programs and ensures that the fiscal affairs of the City are effectively managed in accordance with the City's municipal code, policies, and state and federal statutes.
The Department is responsible for the following operations:
- Municipal Utility Services
- Budget Documents
- Financial Reports
- Successor Agency
- Schedule of Fees & Charges
- Financial Policies
The Department is also responsible for the accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiering and cash handling operations. The accounts payable operation provides for the processing of all of the City's invoices and payments to vendors. The accounts receivable, cashiering and cash handling operation provides for the processing of all payments made to the City and the timely deposit and safekeeping of cash.
