The Monrovia Measure K Citizen Advisory Committee is a five-member committee established by the City Council whose main responsibilities include monitoring the revenues and expenditures from the 0.75% local sales tax increase approved by voters on November 5, 2019.
The City Council appointed the original Citizen Advisory Committee members on January 7, 2020. The most recently appointed Committee Members whose term began on July 1, 2024 is active through June 30, 2028. Committee members are appointed for a 4-year term. All positions are volunteer and receive no compensation.
The Monrovia Measure K Citizen Advisory Committee meets at least annually to:
- Receive and comment on annual reports from City staff each fiscal year on revenues and expenditures from the sales tax, and
- Review and comment on annual spending plans prepared by City staff.
