PROPOSED AUTO REPAIR ORDINANCE
The City of Monrovia has drafted a new ordinance to establish nonconforming automotive repair operational requirements in response to community concerns. This page will provide information about steps taken and previous recordings of meetings for review. The City of Monrovia supports all of its businesses and encourages dialogue and communication with City staff.
This is an Amendment to Title 2 (Administration and Personnel), and Title 5 (Business Taxes, Licenses and Regulations) of the Monrovia Municipal Code to Establish Automotive Repair Operational Requirements. This would establish automotive repair operational requirements and related provisions for legal nonconforming businesses, which would be contained in a new Chapter 5.84 of the Monrovia Municipal Code.
Staff has conducted an analysis of the proposed regulations based on the feedback from the businesses that attended the Town Hall meetings and voluntarily met with staff. The final draft includes the proposed changes.
