3D Printing at the Library

All patrons of the Monrovia Public Library can get one free print a month.

Designing your print - Websites like TinkerCad.com and Thingiverse.com are free and easy to use. For examples visit the library's Thingiverse account here.

Submitting your print -

• Prints need to fit within a 9.9″x 7.8″ x 5.9″ space
• Take no longer than 6 hours to print
• Not exceed 100 grams (including supports, rafts, or brims)
• Submit your file in .STL formats and please submit only a single item on the build plate
• One request at a time per library card holder, per month
• Projects are printed in a single color, in PLA plastic
• Requests are printed in the order they are received
• Please allow 1-4 weeks for your design to be printed
• Staff will contact you via email when your print is ready to be picked up from the Front Desk
• Once you have been contacted, please pick up your item within one month
• Items not picked up within one month will become property of the Monrovia Public Library
• Please pick up your completed 3D print before submitting another request

In order to provide quality prints for everyone, please follow the above guidelines and fill out the online submission form.

What we cannot print: weapons, inappropriate or explicit items, or copyright-protected materials cannot be printed.

Items that are too large to fit on the build plate or have serious design flaws need to be modified prior to printing. Staff are unable to make any alterations to your file. For more information, please contact the library at 626-256-8274.
