One of the largest contributions to wasteful water practices is outdoor landscape irrigation and irrigation of lawns. Research shows that as much as 50% or more of daily water use goes towards outdoor watering. With water conservation being a primary focus for Californians, we are pleased to offer Monrovia residents drought landscaping kits. These kits are available at no charge to help make conserving water that much easier!
Limit one kit per Monrovia household.

Compost Bins and Bin Liners
California’s new organic recycling mandate, SB1383, requires residents and businesses to separate their organic waste materials to keep them out of landfills and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
As a result, the City is offering countertop compost bins and compostable bin liners to all residents of Monrovia! The countertop compost bins are breathable to prevent odors, compact to avoid taking up space, and convenient for separating food waste.
Used Oil Kit
Help protect our environment by recycling your used motor oil and oil filters responsibly! Improper disposal can lead to pollution of our waterways and harm wildlife. Pick-up your FREE used oil kit today. Each kit includes a drain pan, funnel, filter and rag.
