Recreation hosts a variety of special events throughout the year designed to create community togetherness and enhance quality of life.

Interested businesses, service clubs, organizations, and individuals may consider sponsoring one or more of the special events below to help give back to the community!

Spring Egg Hunt and Halloween Costume Contest

The Spring Egg Hunt is held annually the Saturday before Easter. The event takes place in Recreation Park and draws more than 4,000 children. The Halloween Costume Contest is held annually in Library Park the afternoon of Halloween and draws more than 300 participants. Sponsorship opportunities include: 

Premiere Sponsor $2,500

  • Half-page advertisement in the Monrovia Today publication
  • Organization’s name inside of the Monrovia Today publication
  • Organization’s name displayed on a Myrtle Avenue banner
  • Organization’s name on a banner displayed at the event
  • Organization’s name on event flyers distributed to 8,000 Monrovia school children

Summer Concert Series

The free Summer Concerts Series will be held on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays in July and August from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., in Library Park and Station Square Park. The concerts will feature bands performing in a variety of music genres including: Country, Mariachi, Classic Rock, Calypso, 60’s & 70’s top hits and more and draw more than 800 people per concert. Spectators are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and picnic while enjoying the entertainment. Sponsorship opportunities include:

Premier Sponsorship  $3,500 

  • Full-page advertisement in the Monrovia Today publication
  • Organization’s name on a Myrtle Avenue banner
  • Organization’s name on all concert materials distributed throughout the City
  • A plaque presented by a Community Services Commissioner
  • Organization’s name on the City’s website
  • Organization’s name listed on the Monrovia Community Center and Library electronic displays
  • A booth at the concert to advertise your company and distribute promotional items
  • City provides a picnic for sponsor in a designated area during a single concert

Sole Sponsorship $1,900

This is a sole sponsorship of one concert. 

  • Half-page advertisement in the Monrovia Today publication
  • Organization’s name on all concert materials distributed throughout the City
  • A plaque presented by a Community Services Commissioner the day of the concert
  • Organization’s name on a banner displayed on the stage the day of the concert
  • Organization’s name on the City’s website
  • Organization’s name listed on the Monrovia Community Center and Library electronic displays
  • A booth at the concert to advertise your company and distribute promotional items
  • Exclusive use of a designated picnic area to host a gathering

Shared Sponsorship $950 Level

This is a shared sponsorship with one other sponsor.

4th of July Fireworks Show

The free Fireworks Show and festivities are held annually on the 4th of July and draws over 9,000 participants each year. The festivities include: a DJ from 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., a concert from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., and a Fireworks Show at 9 p.m. Sponsorship opportunities include:

  • Banner displayed on Myrtle Avenue
