The Land Use Element is the central element of the Monrovia General Plan. It designates future land use patterns and specifies the appropriate density and intensity of development within the City.  The Land Use Element's goals and policies link to the other elements of the General Plan to ensure that future growth can be planned for and accommodated.

Our Land Use Element was adopted in 2008 and updated in 2020. It will govern the growth of the City until 2030. The Land Use Element is available for you to review by clicking the link below.
