The Safety Element is a comprehensive look at the public safety issues facing our community. This includes any number of human and natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, landslides, and fires. The Safety Element documents our disaster management procedures, identifies our partner agencies, and describes our local resources for keeping Monrovia safe. Safety Element Update

The Focused General Plan Update revised the 2002 Safety Element to ensure that it is in compliance with recent changes in state legislation, specifically, SB 379 which requires all local jurisdictions to incorporate climate adaptation and resiliency into the Safety Element.
